K+12 program

The K to 12 Program is the new implemented program by the Dep-Ed that covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six years of primary education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School.

This new program may help each individual to be more knowledgeable and to be more globally competitive, because like of the other countries their education is very standard they already had this k+12 that’s why their progress is so fast. It helps the individual to discover hidden talents where he/ she good at, and this skill may be practiced and used for livelihood that they will be adequately prepared for the word of work or entrepreneurship or higher education. Though it takes a longer time but then those times the learners are already equipped with such rudiments that will help them to land a job with an early age, even though they will not proceed to college, during their high school they already had a vocational courses which may serve as their wants for the future in which they are going to practiced.

Thus, this new program might have lots of negative issues but still it has lots of positive outputs. I will not talk about the negative ones but only for the positive ones. Having this program is such a great help for me, especially a future teacher in T.L.E (Technology Livelihood Education) why? Because schools are in need of teachers nowadays, as what I've heard different feed-backs that even though you’re not a board passers still you can teach but only in private schools because of only few teachers are left. So as a 4th year graduating student I must prepare myself for this especially as a 21st teacher. We cannot deny the fact that in this generation  students are now technologically inclined, and also because of k+12 program we are preparing our students to be legally employable with potential for better earnings, we must develop them to become a better person different of what was yesterday and today.
